Friday was a bittersweet day ending my time as a postdoc in the Klausen lab. I'm so grateful for @bekkaklausen.bsky.social ongoing mentorship and guidance. It was an amazing experience learning new skills and mentoring younger scientists. Excited to start my independent career at Indiana University!

It's not really a secret anymore, but I wanted to wait until the paperwork was all signed. I'll be starting at Indiana University this fall as an assistant professor in chemistry! The Harvey Group will focus on synthesis and spectroscopy of inorganic nanomaterials. Stay tuned for more.

I'm thrilled to share that I will be starting my independent career at Indiana University in July! The Wentz lab will interface synthetic chemistry with materials science, while providing strategies to access new generations of main-group molecular building blocks and macromolecular materials.

Excited to share our work on the direct synthesis and redox properties of 9-methylsilafluorene dimer published in @daltontrans.rsc.org! This is some of the early work funded by my AOB PD Fellowship, hoping to get some more of this work submitted soon!

Accepted students will be awarded a $7,000 stipend and given housing on campus for the summer. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents, have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies, and not yet have a bachelor’s degree. I am interested in using abundant main-group elements for new molecular, oligomer, and polymer synthesis to target functional materials broadly applicable to energy-relevant and mechanoresponsive technologies. Outside of the lab I enjoy hiking, fishing, baking, and watching my silly cats.

Making my first official post over here to introduce myself. I'm currently an Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins Lab in Prof. Rebekka Klausen's Lab. I previously obtained my Ph.D. under the mentorship of Prof. Robert Gilliard at U of Virginia.
