This was part of a Christmas present for my beautiful girlfriend in 2024

Unfortunately I won't be able to get the bugbear entry out this week (which was my plan for a belated goblin week post) but I'll be reblogging summoner saga posts with new codex descriptions.

Because I'm a masochist I've also been making pokedex entries for summoner saga. I'll include them attached below from here on out. An excerpt from "Codex Creaturi Omnibus":

Summoner Saga - Nemean Lion
I’ve decided (retroactively) to start the Hellenistic creatures off with the relatively normal ones. Which brings us to the Nemean lion, a normal lion with invulnerable skin. Only its own claws can so much as scratch it. Because of that, I gave it a smug face.

Oh, I didn't know about this one. As a kid I was only ever exposed to FF7 and FFXIII, but there's so many games that it makes sense some have drastically different aesthetics

If these critters were in modern Final Fantasy instead of the million and a half anime children I might play them

Familiar events are playing out on Palet: a 10-headed demon raids Naranga and Celeste from his island fortress, a duke of Lazulia is in a custody battle with the fairy Melusine, and the heimar Amberbardia is plagued by dragons while the king is fooling around in Murex with his side-kick Alberich.

The Porphyrine Empire is a mix of Achaemenid and Sassanian Persia, the Mizurio Isles are Yamato-era Japan, and the Brunnheimar are migration-era "barbarian" kingdoms.
