Thinking of Twinless and Kiss of the Spider Woman rn (both in my top 5, honestly top 3 films of this year so far) - but also the less good History of Sound, On Swift Horses, Wedding Banquet, and others… I guess Love Lies Bleeding (also a fave) did ok box office but better on streaming

I do feel slightly like a conspiracy theorist right now when I think about how every explicitly gay film that I’ve seen in the past couple years in theatres ended up having a limited release or bombing at the box office… like is Bottoms the last one that did well??

The film is beautiful and gay and unabashedly political and poetic and just everything, a fav of this year so far and honestly would be shocked if it’s not an Oscar contender next year

Has anyone ever seen this?? Film returned from venue with bright pink residue on every frame? Appears black on screen?? Seemed to have an oily sheen but is imbedded in it like a burn? So strange.

My gf asked for a bedtime story the other night and I’m not as creative on the spot as she is, so I just told her Angela Lansbury’s life story instead and it worked! She enjoyed it and did fall asleep at the end.

Snow White is just bizarre, the dwarves are uncanny and the songs fall flat and Zegler’s acting is good but way too melodramatic for a film so unserious. It’s like Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest level of disconnect w the acting and the material. I did see it though! It’s a film! Lol

Downloaded all my books today and recommend you all do the same, if you ever wanna transfer them off Amazon devices without re-buying them!!! Tomorrow the feature goes away.
