Extremely irresponsible for @theguardian.com to conflate these two things: ordinary Jewish people are not responsible for the actions of the state of Israel, and a disgusting hate crime isn't the same as a protest against a weapons manufacturer.

Also, fun fact, my secondary school was built on top of an anthrax pit.

What amazed me the first time I went down this rabbit hole is that someone could go to volunteer for the white supremacist army in Rhodesia and then just come back into American society and be accepted as a regular person??

I'm not usually a much of a protestor, but I will try to defend the University of Leicester, and my colleagues, from the bad decisions made by our management. The proposed cuts unneeded, unfair and backed by cherry picked metrics. I support the @leicesterucu.bsky.social strike action.

Heartwarming that the far right mob in the UK is still willing to fly the flag of a foreign country at today's #unitethekingdom fascist rally. I don't know what exactly they like about Georgia, but it's very sweet nonetheless.

I've checked with mum about this before and she was not happy about the idea of a rat bouncing towards her.

Very wild to learn - and difficult to imagine - that Utah Valley University students are allowed to carry guns on campus. I can't see what possible educational value this could have, and it must make shootings practically un-preventable. I hope that Kirk's legacy is to change these rules.

The alternative explanation is that #MECFS sufferers have all spontaneously decided to lie down and stop doing the things they enjoy. Plenty of disabilities have no proven genetic component - that does not make them any less real.

There's something so funny about the Telegraph's leading line on the new CFS/ME genetics results: "A genetic cause for ME has been found for the first time, proving the illness is real." Millions of people experiencing symptoms could also be considered proof.

"Everyone agrees that the benefits system needs to be reformed" is a completely meaningless phrase. I would like the benefits system to be made better, the Labour front bench are pushing to make it worse. I realise that these are both reforms, but this doesn't mean we're in agreement. #newsnight
