Proponent of active travel. Cycle, run, trail runner. T1D. Brit curmudgeon.
Derailleur adjustment screws maybe.
03.12.2025 14:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Being an old guy I accept that there are new versions of characters, stories, books that I will not like, but in this case I am not the target audience. Superman, for me, is this mega being, like playing in god-mode. 1st comic he couldn't fly, so things change.
03.12.2025 10:21 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I very rarely get wet when it is raining because I have really good clothing. Okay I admit I do sometimes 'wash' a foot when cycling through a puddle, but that is my fault.
Weirdly I actually enjoy riding in the rain. Wind, not so much.
be trapped into the distance they can manage to walk? We may know that cycling can offer so many benefits to people, but until we experience it ourselves, it is difficult to truly know.
29.11.2025 11:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Walking down the 2 flights of stairs and to the bike shed was very slow. It was an effort. I had to be careful getting onto my bike too.
Here's the thing though. I could cycle pretty easily, no real problem. It was a relief to be honest.
How is that for giving people freedom who may otherwise 2/3
Last Tuesday I came off my bike on an icy road. My rhs slammed down pretty hard. Really winded me and could tell I was pretty banged up. Yes I checked my bike. Took me a minute to get back on and finish my commute. By the end of the day I was struggling to walk and ribs felt very delicate. 1/n
29.11.2025 11:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I would say that is because not many people are politically minded and refuse to accept that they might be wrong. Three parties have been in or shared power. All have been a huge disappointment.
27.11.2025 09:58 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They live in a bubble that follows strict rules. I mean, when she said 'spades in the ground' jeez. I shouted at the TV. They haven't a clue as to the true impact they have on people. We are screwed.
27.11.2025 09:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Agree. Many people vote for who their parents voted for without thinking about it. Unfortunately I voted for Labour but it was a huge mistake. I would never vote for a right wing party. I was duped.
27.11.2025 09:43 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Hell even the bots telling me how bad Labour is are making sense.
27.11.2025 09:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah when she said that I said and what is wrong with having a welfare system? BBC news also mentioned unemployment costs which is ridiculous because it is such a small amount of the welfare bill.
26.11.2025 21:01 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In the UK the law is weak as shit when it comes to prosecuting drivists
26.11.2025 07:26 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I ride a bicycle and experience drivists doing this all the time, on main roads too.
26.11.2025 07:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0London numbers sound very good although it is not significant in any way nationally other than a reminder that anything outside of London doesn't matter. If you aren't a car owner it is increasingly more difficult to travel.
25.11.2025 11:23 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yes Haig was promising, and Alexander talked the talk, was very much anti pavement parking but as yet, nothing.
25.11.2025 11:19 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0What is the percentage increase when the whole of the UK is taken into account?

20.11.2025 21:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I cycled through a small stream brought upon by flooding. I gave my left foot a wash.

16.11.2025 21:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Agree this movie is very good and have watched it multiple times. I would say the movie I absolutely love though is The Red Shoes. Amazing.
16.11.2025 21:25 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Actually reminds me a bit of Mystical Ninja2 starring Geomon. Not a bad thing. I loved that game.
