Canadian Authors and Illustrators Against Book Bans strongly condemns the ongoing book bans in Alberta, and the secrecy surrounding the lists of banned titles. When public schools are banning books in school libraries, Canadians have a right to know what books are being targeted.

Funny how the people who trumpet promises of “transparency” are usually the least transparent. Definitely discovering that in the US with our current regime and its own such promises . . .

The breathtaking stupidity on display in such decisions to withdraw from organizations that benefit all of us boggles the mind. Politics driven by spite and (idiotic) instinct is an affront to anyone capable of rational thought.

Yes! I literally just got off the hone with my congresswoman’s office to demand that she immediately move to abolish ICE and told them that I would never vote for her again if she does not push for that.

I don’t mind the response but would not simply call these numbers “reality.” The task I constantly present my Congresswoman is to convince republicans to vote for impeachment (and against the other nonsense they peddle). I consider anything less a complete letdown. Hard? Maybe, but not optional.

“Vote” to stop it? How does that work? How about vote to remove Donald Fucking Trump via impeachment? That’s how you stop this insane bullshit

There’s a LOT of wars I didn’t vote for, and yet it seems that my country KEEPS FIGHTING THEM. Neither domestic nor international law seems to offer any constraint. I can only hope that those who prosecute these wars go straight to hell up on their demise to keep Kissinger company.
