This office used to be one of the most corrupt in the nation — we can't go back.

One of the MANY reasons we endorsed Fritz Kaegi (@fritzforassessor.bsky.social) in the March 17th primary election is because we simply cannot afford to cede control of the Assessors office to wealthy MAGA trolls who support state sponsored violence in our streets.

Patrick Hynes, who is running for Cook County Assessor, took money from members of the MAGA Loquercio family that publicly cheered on the death of Alex Pretti.

The days may be getting longer, but the time until the March 17th election is only getting shorter.

We chose to endorse in these races because we either felt we could make a difference to help an insurgent progressive candidate win or that there was a great risk of backsliding if progressives don’t unify around a candidate.

On Thursday January 29 members of the Indivisible Lincoln Square steering committee met to vote on proposed endorsements in Chicago’s upcoming primary elections for March 17.

We do not endorse in every race and we only endorsed in races that touch our broader geographical boundaries.

Drake is a renter who wants to reduce the housing shortage and get housing prices to go down by becoming a full time Cook County commissioner.

They certainly get paid enough to make representing you full time but it’s not the case for all commissioners!
