Well, I live in Virginia in an area where two historically conservative districts flipped their House seats blue. . .and those were only 2 of the 13 that flipped. So, yeah, nothing typical about last night’s results.

My district, thank goodness!!!

My younger daughter! And it warms this mother’s heart . . .Even with a full-time teaching job, she has read 80 books already this year . . .She was a math major in college, so this pivot into reading was a delightful surprise!

Americans have been brainwashed into thinking you don’t deserve health care unless you have a full-time job with a company that offers benefits. When I freelanced as a stay-at-home mom and my self-employed husband and I couldn’t get insurance my “best” friend told me to “get a job.”

Those will be lovely. I don’t knit, but throughout my childhood in the Northeast wore a variety of sweaters, hats and mittens my grandmother made me. Wish I still had all of them. 💗
