28.05.2025 21:32 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I am pretty sure they used some sort of scan mesh to Revit. Every railing is in-place, and they aren't that difficult
22.05.2025 17:16 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I love it when a building owner states they have accurate Revit models to use. Then you open the file and realize the amount of in-place content. Have to say 14,400+ is a bit much and really makes the file non usable.
Thanks
Definitely a tool I suggest everyone have.

Isn't it two days to early?
12.03.2025 14:23 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Nice I didn't even have to see the image before I knew what you were talking about. I remember that movie came out the year before one of my history classes the teacher asked "What do you know about the Alamo?" in unison the entire class "It doesn't have a basement"
11.03.2025 13:52 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The last one I did like this was in the backyard and had 200' of tow straps to reach it. Thankfully line of sight to the street.
04.03.2025 14:52 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I usually cut the ground around the tree with a long blade, cutting the roots etc. Then I pull the tree out with the truck, no stump etc. works amazing depending on the tree root system.
04.03.2025 14:44 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0When I used to train way back in Revit I would literally make a joke and put carpet on the walls, not 5 1/2" thick, and label it Shag 70's wall
26.02.2025 14:52 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The Tacoma's of today are the size of the Tundra's of the past. And like you said still fits the same amount of people.

05.02.2025 19:42 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I assume they all have a connection to the company server where they access all other documents. If that is the case I would keep it there.
05.02.2025 19:36 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Question: are you having multiple firms access the keynotes? If all internal than no reason to host on any cloud rather than network. If multiple companies are accessing is the only time could should be considered.
05.02.2025 19:21 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0This is why most of my firms have added this verbiage to the contract ACC/Live Linking
29.01.2025 23:14 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Keep telling myself to create that filter and pre-add it to all VT in the project template. Just haven't done that yet.
06.01.2025 18:54 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I use the Ideate Explorer tool to easily see the modeled in place stuff. Create a filter on selected elements then change them all yellow in the View Templates. Just tell the teams they are yellow because that is how in-place families are.

What are you talking about BOTH A & B are wrong, and those people over there don't exist! X is the only way...😁
03.01.2025 17:02 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I have never understood that. There are serveral ways to accomplish anything one way is not right/wrong it is just how SOME people understand. Always blows me away that kind of closed mindedness
03.01.2025 15:42 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0In Boston the person who disagreed with me had it the opposite. So when a user changed wall types from int to ext they had to change the justification, flip the wall, change the justification back. I honestly don't care, users can adjust. Minimizing steps for users is always my goto reason
02.01.2025 23:50 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0We also had this discussion at ITF in Boston. he way I look at it is what side do you want it on when you swap the shaft wall out with another wall type. This is why my gypsum is always on the inside because if I swap it with an exterior I don't want to flip the wall.

I don't understand why people think that is easier than an actual wall.
20.12.2024 20:22 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I have had alot of fun when the AI joins before people do. Bring up all these Critical Points and Action Items. Then the summary says all this and people think they missed a bunch of items in the meeting.
17.12.2024 20:04 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I usually say statements like "To Follow up we need more Hello Kitty" jacks with the AI because we never discussed this but "Follow Up" is a key word for note taking. I had one program tell everyone they needed to ship me fancy tea for Christmas.
