02.01.2026 16:41 β π 687 π 182 π¬ 11 π 2As we enter the New Year remember fear of making bad art is holding you back. Fear of people not liking your work is holding you back. Rejection is holding you back
You'll make bad art, you'll have people not like your work, and you'll be rejected. Moving past it is half the job of being a creative
pro of becoming friends with the creators you admire: you get to listen to stuff early
con: you then have to suffer totally alone
pro: but at least you can yell at said creator about it

ME: where's bluebird?
BIRD: gone
ME: w... who are you?
*bird looks around shiftily*
BIRD: I'm new bird
My advice: Like what you like and don't worry about anyone who tells you it's cringe. Life's short and the world's on fire, and as long as you're not hurting other people, you're fine. I mean, I still like U2, too! I don't care who knows it. If other people don't like that, that's a them problem.

Hey Gabriel! What lead time do you generally prefer between pens-down on a finished script and the release of an episode to your audience for AD? Is there a range you've found thats "too tight" or "too loose" from a production angle? Thanks!

So, I'm shooting my shot at an existing anthology that requires a story narrated by the speaker, but the script and sounds straddle the present telling, and immersion in the story being told.
What advice do you have on being clear while balancing narrative fiction and audio drama?
Bonus if you've got time - advice in writing narrative AD as opposed to immersive when your experience is in the latter? Balancing between the two when there are external constraints to what you're making?
