I just saw the Tom Allnutt remark about Frank thinking Porro was the only player that could play for an elite team.

My mind is blown.

Porro can be really good. But he’s not even the best player on our backline and he’s the one Frank rated the most.

That’s not wrong.

We have one solid CB backup, one FB, a ton of 8s, and a bunch of young wings.

Striker is maybe where we have the most cover but our 9s are hurt much too often.

Closing that gap and filling those holes is the first step in fixing this…at least to me.

Not you but a lot of people have said that. Or, some variant.

The squad is definitely unbalanced with huge holes.

I think that’s the first thing to fix.

Create some balance in the squad.

Build from there so it’s a squad that makes sense.

We do need more quality but to say that there isn’t quality is just silly.
