In this new publication of our CAPSA cohort, we see in 455 children aged 9-16 years widespread detection of pesticide biomarkers in the urine of adolescents. Higher levels of organophosphates were associated with with poorer cognitive flexibility. 1/2

Urinary pesticide biomarkers show a high within-subject variability resulting in substantial nondifferential exposure misclassification. This would dilute any association if there were one. We will now investigate various methods to predict individual long-term pesticide more reliably.
