- Jenrick and Braverman vote FOR the abolition of the two child limit while the other four Reform MPs vote against
- and of course Farage doesnโt even bother turning up to do his job
I have spent several decades doing acute medical take and working in AMU and ED
Today was as grim as i can remember for a long time because no beds to admit to (wards closed with various outbreaks) and people in corridors/chairs/waiting room. Horrible for them. No fun for staff

A forty-year slow-motion disaster in higher education is reaching its climax โ and Labour is left holding the bag. @gsoh31.bsky.social joins @rostaylor.bsky.social & @hannahfearn.bsky.social to ask if the problems can be solved โก๏ธ linktr.ee/ohgodwhatnowpod
I feel obliged to remind everyone that there are plenty of countries where higher education is either completely free or cost a token amount of tuition money and that many of these countries offer top notch teaching and research. Itโs a political choice.

Yes, we would need to pay more tax.
Yes, I'm fine with that.
I want public services and for our society to be happy, healthy and good. Of course we will have to pay for that, but that's... Fine?
Yes, it's fair that my taxes pay for someone else to learn to be a doctor or an artist or a teacher or an architect or an actor or a biochemist because I want to live in a society that has people that can do all the things I can't.
