He’s doing ok. 12 is getting up there in dog age. Especially for a bigger dog… it’s really nice to be home and to be hanging with him.

Ok if you fancy a great bistrot (small menu, super delicious, great wines) go to Les Serruriers in the old town.

After three weeks of travel I’m so looking forward to nothing!

We were just talking about when to go to Nice next. Thinking of January…

We’ve also done Paris by Moutj tours and I’ve really enjoyed those. More expensive. But cheese! Wine!

Best tour hands down? Street Art Tours with Kasia Klon.

During Covid I booked her for a private tour of Montmartre for my team plus their significant others and it was awesome.

Sleep is difficult for me. But a solid unwinding routine helps. Weirdly I’ve found Duolingo is lulling me into phenomenal sleep (despite all the advice to avoid screens before bed!)

Pro tip for flying into Doha : fly economy but invest in Al Maha arrival services. Airplane greeting, swept to lounge while your bag is collected for you, charming personalised arrival immigration services. Escorted through the airport to the taxi queue. Such a pleasant start to a busy three days!

9 hour flight here I come. I was hoping to buy an upgrade but that wasn’t possible. So I have a book, some podcasts, and some water to keep me company.

Next stop: Qatar

The Past and Future of Societal Collapse: Why Civilizations Fall and What We Can Learn From It with Luke Kemp Podcast Episode Β· The Great Simplification with Nate Hagens Β· 24/09/2025 Β· 2h 16m

Really great listening to Luke Kemp’s interview with Nate Hagens on the #GreatSimplification.

Big sell on his blame of fossil fuel producers.

Thankfully Nate brings nuance, asking the role of policy makers & consumers in systems challenges facing the world.
