How do you invite your 15-year-old child to someone’s home for a week long visit in another state without ever speaking to the actual adults in the home? Further, how do you have him arriving *ON* his 16th birthday and relay a message to “make it special and do something fun for him” but fund nada?

Forgot to check-in last night….we’ve made it to Van Horn, TX. Have roughly 850 miles left. Shooting for Yuma, AZ tonight, leaving us roughly 250 miles for tomorrow and we are done!

We have penetrated the great state of Texas! Safely ensconced in a MUCH nicer hotel for the evening
