Honestly I think the constant introduction of new enemies in KH is actually pulling from its JRPG lineage, like most JRPGs are gonna be introducing new enemies all the way into the last dungeon

Oh yeah I would argue that enemy design/variety may be even more important than the player's abilities in an action game (within reason)

Like, if a KH game only had the first 10-15 enemies they would be a LOT worse
