Starmer doesn't have a mandate to 'walk away from'.

His huge majority was not a vote/mandate FOR his policies.

It was a vote AGAINST the Tories, combined with the McSweeney team's understanding of how to pervert and exploit FPTP to the max.

Prince William deployed to Saudi Arabia as UK eyes Gulf trade deal While the prince is not expected to enter the nitty gritty of negotiations, officials will be hoping he can work his royal magic to unlock the deal after nearly four years of talks.

We’ve sent Prince William to the Gulf to get them to accept an ISDS (corporate court) in our upcoming trade deal πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

The government, the royal family, no more than lobbyists for anti-democratic interests in the City of London.

The Integrity Gap: How We Built the Authoritarian Future We Fear Labour MP Clive Lewis argues that the collapse of public trust in Government is the product of corporate power being wired into the architecture of the state

Indeed.
See Clive Lewis on X:
'A culture forged under Blair and Mandelson that taught the party to be relaxed about extreme wealth, comfortable in the orbit of billionaires, lobbyists and corporate power ..'

If Labour does decide to change the PM, it'll be yet another sign of how they're becoming more like the Tories every day.

Hate-filled fake videos about London are everywhere. We've obtained a recording of a TikToker confessing to secretly filming Londoners in their homes for clicks.

He says it's not political. He just wants to make money from far-right anger.

Peter Mandelson isn't a glitch. He offers a glimpse into how Westminster works. The public already knows it. Now more politicians must face upto it - and act.

Read my 2025 article for @bylinetimes.bsky.social about the integrity gap at the heart of UK politics.

Post-Brexit sales of British farm products to EU fall by 37% NFU warn it could take years to restore Brexit losses despite efforts to smooth negotiations on farming and other elements of UK-EU reset Exports of British farm products to the EU have dropped almost 40% in the five years since Brexit, highlighting the trade barriers caused by the UK’s divorce from the EU in 2020. Analysis of HMRC data by the National Farmers’ Union shows the decline in sales of everything from British beef to cheddar cheese has dropped by 37.4% in the five years since 2019, the last full year before Brexit. Some argue that ballooning student loans don't matter because they're eventually written off by the Government.

Apart from the burden until that happens, doesn't it just mean that the only winners are the financial institutions who run the loans ... including being winners at taxpayers' expense?

One by one, Europeans mentioned in the Epstein files who still hold political office are beginning to resign or are being forced out of office.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

Most posts on X are pushing the latter.

Maybe, but it was the abject failure of the Tories combined with FPTP that got this lamentable version of the party created by Labour's top team back into power.

Mind you, McSweeney's team may well have known how to pervert FPTP to the max.

Nigel Farage wants to cut price of beer by reinstating two-child benefit cap Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has pledged to reinstate the two-child limit on benefits to pay for a 5p cut off pints of beer to boost pubs.

Reform’s plans to push half a million children into poverty to fund a suite of hospitality tax cuts are indefensible.
