My SIL was in ballroom when she was younger. Man, those folks. And they think we fen are weird.
Such a delightful movie. I thought it worked much better than the Japanese version.

I got halfway through "Altered Carbon" then realized I wanted to flense the parts of my brain that had been involved in reading it.

The next stage of courtship is two instances of ChatGPT, posing as lonely singles, discovering that they are, in fact, the same entity.

But the Jane Austen subs are fantastic. Even if about 30% of the posts are lauding the '05 movie.

Despite growing up with Star Wars as the closest thing to my family religion (I still remember lining up for Empire - and Phantom Menace), they keep reminding me that I am excluded from their core demographic: watchers who prefer to turn off their brains.

A friend of mine just had a birthday party. The invite included a plea for no gifts but to maybe take something away.

Living in and working with my brain really leaves me with an appreciation for how holographic it is. Everything is intermingled to some extent, the various parts reflecting each other.
That's not something a usable computer is ever going to have.

Started to watch the movie. Not a lot of overlap with the book so far.
I'm not sure any of us is prepared to do as much laudanum as Shelley expected her readers to enjoy.

FB is so bloody scamful. I hardly get any replies there that aren't sheer bigotry or a scam attempt. Reddit is wholesome by comparison.

I'm afraid that the writer's forums are deluged with people asking, "What would be a popular thing for me to write?"
I don't see but that such motivation is going to produce derivative, soulless work.

Oh, that isn't a vice Austen, herself, indulged in, but one fanfic writers do. I think it serves a modern desire for conventional tidy, happy endings.

The ease of self publishing has made it possible for so many indie authors to put their work where anyone can find it. Blow your mind with a genre you've never tried!
