I started with Undercurrent and must say I enjoyed it quite a bit. Except for the first track, it's more mellow than the Coltrane stuff that got me hooked, but the melodies are so nice and intricate, I'm sure it will grow on me with more listens

I was more in the instrumental vibe so I thought I wouldn't enjoy it as much in a first listen, but damn, she's charismatic even through the recording, great voice and amazing sound for a live show. So here I am, thanking you again later, well deserved

Yes! It’s so sad when they grow out of it… At some point we had a whole dictionary of her funny words in our heads that we would list to our relatives, I regret so much that I didn’t write that down at some point and forgot lots of these 😭

There are words that my daughter pronounces funny and we find so endearing that we start using it as well. Wonder if some of those might be her version of explain-a-pa-tory in the future 😬

I thought linchpin was a metaphorical beating stick. I could tell I was way off from the reaction of people when I tried to use it in a sentence, then cue to many nights looking at the ceiling thinking “why the heck did I say that?”

- Miles Davis is boring and sappy
- John Coltrane absolutely rules

I will say that I have more or less the same usage pattern, but I use DeepSeek and it’s dirt cheap compared to the alternatives. I bought 10 dollars worth of API usage in January and have been using it within emacs and with aider (which is more token hungry) and I still have $8.84 left

I’ve learned what it is a while ago. I’ve recognized it not too long after seeing it. But it’s like a rational acknowledgement of an alien symbol. No feelings at all, while 🫶 triggers an immediate response
