Doing my annual 11/5 rewatch of V for Vendetta. Started in either 2014 or 2015, with just me, and expanding over the years to 6-8 in the past few years. Realized my annual watch predates Til Death Do Us Blart by either 3 weeks or a year and 3 weeks and it makes me giggle to know that. 😂

Andy Robinson If we can get through this period of misgovernace without doing irreparable damage to each other and the planet, and we've done plenty up to now, maybe we can step to another level of awareness of how to live with each other humanely, and then unify (I agree, no mean feat) to tackle the most existential challenges. What was it Walt Kelly's Pogo said? "We have met the enemy and they is us." There are hopeful signs. The latest and biggest of which was how we came together over the Jimmy Kimmel firing. Very important. Let's see what happens if the Justice Department goes after James Comey after their own lawyers informed us that they don't have enough evidence to make a case. By going after Kimmel and Comey (and how many others in their revenge orgy?) they are crossing a briage too far. The Constitution is explicit why they can't. Nothing is bigger than the rule of law that demands a just and fair society. If they burn the law and get away with erasing known figures, they can come for any of us.

This is not Republican-Democrat binary nonsense. This is real and promises great consequences. My Father died fighting the Nazis. Irene barely escaped their concentration camps (her Mother didn't). Who still believes that we'd never get to that horrific point again? We're Americans. Impossible! Rachel Maddow constantly reminds us to pay attention to what they do, not to what they say. But they've been saying it all along. Check out Project 2025. They're saying it now. "We can do it the easy way or the hard way," the head of the FCC says to us. I think more than one of my TV villains used that line. But it's not TV, it's real. The present government is hell bent on taking away our freedoms and creating a government run by economic oligarchs (rich guys) and using the "hard way" to take care of anyone who disagrees. What happens to poor people? People of color? Immigrants, immigration policy? What happens to freedom of speech and equal justice for all?

We have to get through thiS. We have to be courageous and speak up via the channels available to us that will meld our voices into the swelling resistance. It's real. When you take health care, human care away from millions, when you let foreign aid literally rot in warehouses, flush that money we all contributed down the toilet rather than feed the starving, clothe the naked, save countless humans - how is it anything but REAL. It can happen here. It is. Please, let's be tough without abandoning our humanity and do whatever we can to push this mysterious totalitarian tide back. Let's find and support those leaders willing and able to ride point in this effort. Let's stand up for the planet. Cleaning and maintaining our home is not a con job. The con job is urging us to do nothing except go along to get along, to believe that it's okay, even righteous, to amass unlimited wealth at the expense of our most vulnerable. And the con job can succeed if we put our better selves to sleep. Action is happening. There are signs. Thank you. Andy

NOT WHEN THE ART ITSELF IS STILL TERRIBLE THO. Literally the most true statement I've seen about HP is that "it was never good, we were just children."

I get a bitch of a "moderna arm" if that's the one I get (redness, swelling, itching, feels like extreme bruising) but while my first 2 shots knocked me out for at least 48 hours, the rest I've been pretty good for! (As someone who also has chronic illness/pain)
