Afternoon Keith, am I remembering right; you like Liam Wongโs photos?
If yes,Thereโs a podcast episode heโs on, thought you might be like it. Heโs on *My Perfect Console*, itโs video games themed but they talk about his photos a lot.

29.01.2025 17:05 โ ๐ 344 ๐ 27 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 4I had such high hopes for the series; thought we might final get something a bit more gritty. With Michelle Yeoh you would imagine they were guaranteed success.
Instead we gotโฆ I dunno, whatโฆ a movie trying for Mission Impossible but failing badly.
At least it was only 95 minutes long.

Thatโs before we even start on the lack of seatbelts, most modern cars wonโt stop with the warning noises until you buckle up.
Photo by Mikael Daghighi - Raindrops scatter across a window, distorting the vibrant neon lights of a city at night. Blurred hues of electric blue, fiery orange, and deep red create a dreamy, abstract canvas. The interplay of light and water evokes a sense of calm amidst the chaos, a quiet reflection of urban life in motion.

Hate to say it, but itโs my least favourite Star Trek.
It was a great idea, but for some reason it never clicked with me. I donโt think overall thereโs much wrong with it, itโs just missingโฆ โsomethingโ.
For whatever reason, to me, the whole is not worth more than the sum of its parts.
Very true. Donkey Kong Country was particularly expensive because, IIRC, it had to have extra storage too due to the size of the game.
I went from a SNES to a PS1 in 1995 and my wallet thanked me for it.
Yeah absolutely, you could buy games at many price points from so many places.
17.01.2025 11:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0If memory serves correctly some of my SNES cartridges were around ยฃ60. I think Donkey Kong country was mid 60s and that was 1994 tooโฆ or around ยฃ130 now.
17.01.2025 11:23 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0I think that time and brain space was definitely my issue. I used to read at bedtime, now Iโm just too worn out to focus.
I was kind of struggling with my kindle in low light though as it was an older model and didnโt even have a back-light let alone dark mode. New one is nice but expensive.
I feel that. Didnโt read anything post August holiday last year. It got hard to find time to fit it in. My backlog now sits at (a relative low) 38 books. But Iโve read three since Christmas, which is good.
I even stupidly splashed out on a new bigger screen kindle, which has helped a bit too.
It is, itโs very true to the book. In my opinion probably the best PKD adaptation out there by a country mile.
Keane Reeves suited his role and the rest of the cast was really good in there roles, that movie is probably the exception that proves the rule.
As many adaptations as there have been of Phillip K. Dick stories and novels, I never feel any of them properly reflect the essence of a PKD story.
Which for me is largely summed up as โWTF is going onโ.
A small case of Lego building blocks sitting on some unrolled wrapping paper sitting on a green cutting mat. Also on the cutting mat can be seen a scalpel and a metal wallpaper cutting ruler.
And so the great present wrapping of 2024 beginsโฆ
