Windows 11 is dire. My new but weak writing laptop became a decently capable machine after I swapped to linux mint on it. My ram usage on linux with firefox and some other apps running was the same as my ram usage on win11 running idly. It makes a big difference. Win11 is choking budget computers.

I don't regret my atheistic phase. I was never anti-theist, and it taught me a lot about the practical world, that it is never too good to get lost in promises of heaven when we have to take care of all of creation.

But knowing that those ideas were with me all along makes me feel warm, weirdly.

I think the bit that drives my re-invigorated fondness for Methodism is the Wesleyan view of "Love" as faith because it really truly feels close to how I have always been. And it makes me wonder if I truly never actually let go of that perspective, even into my atheist phase.
