Oregon GOP Rep.Cliff Bentz and his staff spent 6x the average on Tr*mp's inauguration. Records show that 4 staff spent $16,000 just on 3 days worth of hotels. This man supported the firing of federal officials in his district and taking away Medicaid from his constituents in the name of saving $$.

if you are overwhelmed, I highly recommend:
-making a list of things you don't care about being out of the loop
-cutting down on alcohol
-cleaning, organizing and decluttering your home instead of doomscrolling
-making plans with friends
-weekly therapy
-charging your phone away from your bed

Yeah I don’t disagree with that. I know this is most about the Post being a scummy rag and acting on bad faith, and we won’t ever get around that. But the jargon does actually make our spaces not just inaccessible but alienating. That’s an obstacle to our organizing that we have control over.

“Abolish the state” is an irresponsible conversation to be starting with anyone who isn’t a long term committed socialist. Even nations where socialism has been the rule of the land for a long time are nowhere near a phase of socialism where that discussion would make any sense. Focus here and now.

Instead of “abolish wage labor” make it clear that every person should have all the resources they need, and that shouldn’t be conditioned on their job. It’s the same as delinking health insurance from employment - housing, education, and more can all BE, without being linked to employment

Instead of “abolish private property” please PLEASE talk about THE COMMONS. Returning to the commons what private businesses have claimed as their own. No more stealing from everyone. No more corporate squatting on public resources. DE-privatize what rightly belongs to the public.
