example: _sometimes_ psychology is chosen by someone with innate talent/insight that would help them go deeper. and other times psychology depts are filled with the least intra/interpersonally aware people grasping at straws and any form of power they can get

There should be a German word for when a researcher chooses their field of study not because they’re the most talented/best poised for impact in that particular area, but because they are motivated by attaining success and prestige that comes with being associated with the topic.

Plus, Hollywood loves throwing money away at media projects that end up bombing, why would they stop now?

I wonder if any social media companies that have recently gotten back to their roots around free expression will have anything to say about the threat of denying student visas based on their protected speech

A highlight of my Korea trip was this tour guide who's heard enough foreigners say, "I wish I could live here," and decided to design a "real talk" tour about the darker, complicated underbelly – e.g. education system, real estate crisis, plastic surgery culture etc. Gotta respect the hater energy 😂
