Great album which brings back a lot of childhood memories, both good and bad. The power of music eh?

According to my daughter I now fit into the “Young Old” category. Which tallies as I have an old salt and pepper beard, no hair and a wrinkly face but I still dress like I’m off to a Prodigy gig circa ‘94 #avit

When he retired, he and his wife built and narrow boat and called it… ‘The Dire Straits’ :)

Sore and, unfortunately, only an hour sleep last night. Interestingly I can do a bit of weight bearing as the pain is comparable to what I was dealing with before the op. I am hopeful I will be without crutches after 10 or so days. Picking up my new(ish) car next week which is thankfully an auto :)

18.04.2025 05:30 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix. The premise of this book is that all the surfing girls from those 80s and 90s horror stories have struggled with life after their horrific experiences (nightmare man etc) and have come together to support each other. However, one day a girl doesn’t turn up to a session and it seems that somebody has found them and is wanting to finish what was started years before.
A landscape photo of a cherry blossom tree in the foreground. You then see yellow daffodils on the grass which leads you up to another row of trees. Piercing through those trees is the spire of a church and a blue evening sky with a thin film of white clouds
Today was stressy but I managed to save it. Popped into town and spent my Christmas present on a new book from Imagined Things, picked up a free coffee from Waitrose and I’ve just got back from walking through the cherry blossoms as the sun was setting. Gonna have a glass of wine now
Aaaaaand relax
What a beautiful movie. So well cast. I fell in love with Richard Farnsworth after Anne of Green Gables. He was just so lovely and calming to watch
