The rule being the US can do what it likes and the UK govt will back them, I guess.
A very long and important THREAD -
The real reason the US is invading Venezuela goes back to a deal Henry Kissinger made with Saudi Arabia in 1974.
And I'm going to explain why this is actually about the SURVIVAL of the US dollar itself.
Not drugs. Not terrorism. Not "democracy." 1/

None of us want their disgusting chlorinated chicken.
Before any bright spark says - choice...
Once it's in the country it could end up disguised in ready meals, school dinners, hospitals... Things labelled packed in UK - but country of origin is not stated.
Happy new year folks.
Britain is facing renewed pressure from the White House to allow American chlorinated chicken and hormone-treated meat into UK supermarkets, as Donald Trump seeks trade concessions in exchange for reviving a collapsed US-UK technology deal.
and so it begins

2025: Farmers Weekly, "US seeks food standards change as price for £31bn tech deal"
2020: Keir Starmer, "I don't want chlorinated chicken, and I don't think most people do"
Will Keir Starmer stick to higher standards, or will Keir Starmer give in and accept chlorinated chicken?
I never knew I was radical left. Now I know I feel much better for it.

My great outdoors is a dense urban area. Glad my kids are too old to be impacted by this and yes, it definitely is complicated.

They do everything back to front! Want fewer EHCPs - improve educational support so fewer parents have to fight to get their child an education. Want fewer PIP awards - reduce cost of living and increase NHS/mental health provisions. No one puts themselves through the EHCP/PIP process for fun!!!

Leader of Stroud District Council, Cllr Chloe Turner explains why the Green Party opposes the Government's cruel plans to cut disability benefits.
The government has announced a two-tier benefits system.
Under its plans, you can keep your benefits if you are disabled now, but not if you become disabled tomorrow. How is that fair?

Federal agents blasted their way into an LA home where Jenny Ramirez lives with her boyfriend and two kids.
She heard the blast while checking on her 6-year-old, with her 1-year-old in her arms.
Ramirez says everyone in the home is a U.S. citizen.

Looking after ourselves matters.
Not just so we can keep going, but so we feel more like ourselves.
A small act of care.
It all counts. It matters.
