We hope you are supporting the principles of the CPRE's sunshine Bill. As well as putting solar panels in the best place, on roofs, it will ensure lower bills for residents of new houses rather than bigger profits for builders. www.cpre.org.uk/news/sunshin...
25.02.2025 16:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are far too many of these horrible incidents happening. You must keep your dog under close control anywhere near livestock. Especially as many vulnerable ewes are heavily pregnant at the moment. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

23.02.2025 21:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have read the first few chapters after buying a copy from Tom at our AGM a couple of weeks ago. Really enjoying it. It is a very positive book that gives hope for the future.

07.02.2025 14:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Warwickshire Area's AGM will be in Long Itchington in the Warwickshire countryside this Saturday and we have a similar walk planned for afterwards to walk off the buffet lunch!
03.02.2025 12:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0About 1.5 miles of paths are affected by this application. Rather than walking through pleasant countryside you would be walking between two metres high security fences. Hardly any of the new houses being built around Leamington have solar panels on their roofs. That's where to put them.
29.01.2025 18:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Please sign this petition, set up by the local MP, against an inappropriate solar farm development near Leamington Spa. mattwestern.org/campaign/rad...
We are not against solar farms in general, but this is a poor plan in a damaging location. Put them on roofs!
Remember it is our AGM on the 8th February at 10.30 am. It's at Long Itchington Community Centre, CV47 9QP. If you are definitely coming please email warwicksramblers@gmail.com by tomorrow to help with catering numbers. There will be a choice of two walks afterwards, 3 or 5 miles. See you there!
23.01.2025 00:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are currently multiple flood warnings across Warwickshire.

It isn't about eliminating solar farms, it is about reducing the need for them so they are not installed where they damage the countryside and take valuable farmland out of use. The CPRE site we quoted claims 60% of Britain's solar can be generated by rooftop, so that would be a big help.
17.12.2024 13:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Fed up with lots of solar farms ruining the countryside?
