Only a sick nation would do this. 23 attacks in the Eastern Pacific, 10 in the Caribbean, 2 unspecified. See adamisacson.com/boat-strikes/

AOC on DHS Warehouses: I think every American should be alarmed. They are buildingβ€”and have builtβ€”a black box system that disappears people, both immigrants and U.S. citizens alike.

This is horrifying for so many reasons. The one I'm thinking of right now is the billion dollars spent to torture and terrorize and imprison people could easily buy all of us healthcare, child care, parental leave, affordable housing ... all the things the Epstein Class swears we can't afford.

Just a reminder that Trump’s former criminal defense attorney turned Dep. AG Todd Blanche transferred Ghislaine Maxwell to a Club Fed where she now plays with puppies and goes to yoga classes.

Control of the House isn't going to come down to a small number of close races; the military seizing ballots would lead to riots in the streets; the "incumbent Republican majority" will be dissolved on January 3rd so it won't be there to do anything.

It's a nightmare in that it's entirely made up.

ICE are not police. I still don't understand why they are labeled this way and why anyone - including actual police - is okay with it.

Here’s the situation in the Twin Cities:

Random Bovino-style tear-gassing: Way down

Relentless persecution of immigrants: Unchanged

Thuggish violence against observers: Way up

Yo, with all the new measles outbreaks happening, it's a good time to ask your doctor to test your immunity.

I asked mine and it turns out that MMR vaccine from when I was a kid has run out of juice. Booster incoming.

Watched the halftime show. I guess where I fundamentally depart from MAGA is that, when I see something like this, celebrating a culture that's not quite mine, with some references I don't get, something that's not For Me ... I *like* it. I like seeing inside other worlds. Why wouldn't you?

Just a quick update from the Twin Cities. (Please forgive the unsolicited message). THINGS ARE NOT BETTER IN MINNEAPOLIS. The media is mostly moving on, Trump is focused on other stuff, BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE GROUND. More than 2,000 DHS thugs continue to roam the streets, abducting people 24/7, assaulting legal observers with impunity, and routinely denying 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights. Drones and helicopters are overhead every day. Hundreds and hundreds of terrified families have not left their homes since mid-December ... relying on the community to bring them food and help with rent and other necessities. (Those people are NOT violent drug cartel sex offending murderers, as DHS would tell you. Most are legal residents or citizens.) If anything, things have just become more stressful and intractable (think trench warfare as a suitable metaphor): The resistance is better organized and numerous, but DHS has become more clever and better at disguise... and the county sheriff's office is increasingly supporting them . Do not let anyone tell you that Homans (the new person in charge of the occupation) is making anything better. Do not let anyone tell you that 700 ICE agents leaving the city has made much of a difference; the remaining force (again, ~2,000) is still larger than the entire city's police force (which is legally unable to do anything). Please call your congressional reps ... especially if there is any chance the administration might listen to them.

A desperate plea sent to me by a Minneapolis resident who's been on the front lines since the beginning of the ICE occupation:

That’s absolutely the intent, and I would encourage people to ignore every bit of that nonsense.

I’ll crawl over broken glass to vote these idiots out of office, and I hope all of you will too.

I worry that if ICE tries to prevent people from voting, we’ll be looking at actual violence.

Everywhere they went, so many community members exercised their right to whistle and record and they would drive off.

Nothings changing on the ground here in Minneapolis and we won’t let up until every single agent leaves our City.

There was so much ICE activity today. A group of agents spent the whole morning inside Jimmy’s Bar and then ended up driving erratically all throughout the Holland & Como neighborhoods, eventually trying to park at the 2nd precinct police station.

GOP fast tracks monster voter suppression bill that could disenfranchise millions by requiring proof of citizenship at polls In the past few weeks, passing the legislation has been a unifying rally cry for Republicans, a welcome distraction from the party’s cratering public opinion polls.

Republicans are moving quickly to pass a bill requiring voters to show proof of citizenship both to register and at the polls ahead of the 2026 midterm elections β€” a move that experts warn could disenfranchise millions of Americans. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
