Team EPM is the sum of EPM at each point in time (weighted by playing time). Allows you to see which players are driving team strength. dunksandthrees.com

I'll give you some numbers.

Amen is 1st in Defensive-EPM for 2024-25 (among qualifying players):

Amen: +2.9

Draymond: +2.5

Daniels, J-Dub, Zubac +2.3

Btw, an absolute treat of a read.

Also, if you look at the playoff probabilities page that simulates the rest of the season using EPM and likely return dates of injured players, you'll see the wolves are predicted to finish 7th in the west at this point at about 44 wins. dunksandthrees.com/playoff-prob...

One reason is that Team EPM accounts for injuries so players like Luka, Kyrie, and Ja being out bumps Mavs, Griz lower than they otherwise would (and thus Wolves are higher). It's also a little bit the predictive nature of EPM that hasn't given up on the talent that exists on the team.

Yeah exactly. His turnover rate is almost half of what it typically is and what it will likely be with more sample.

Defense is a bit tough so early. But he consistently ranks pretty high in opponent turnovers when he is the closest defender, and he's only improved this season.

Me neither. Defense driving it. Low turnovers helps on O.

An example of the difference between EPM and Season EPM:

Ty Jerome has shot 55% from 3 and 66% from midrange this season--impressive! Will it continue? Not at those rates. He ranks 8th in Season EPM so far and 77th in EPM (up from 309th!). EPM is optimized to measure real improvement.
