I don’t care how badly a library does an internet trend. I’m still going to love it and laugh at it and share it to everyone

13.08.2025 13:49 — 👍 7 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 1It’s very 2025 American spirit to make everyone less comfortable in order to punish a few folks.
NDOT is spending a lot of extra money on ripping out productive infrastructure. From my experience of our streets we should focus on adding good things.
So you’ve never met Mary falls?

I searched my memory to recall which SEC team ended up winning it all in 2024. Alas, it was a Big Ten team. The Ohio State University. My beloved Alma mater. 👑
Yea all the grown men first

06.08.2025 03:29 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We will be doing subsidy in addition to #1. We *are* doing subsidy. At about $150-175k per unit at 60% AMI. That numbers doubled in the last 6 years. That means subsidy goes half as far, helps half as many families.
06.08.2025 03:26 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I would like people to actually pick one instead of moving the ball or inventing fake options. My sense is that a lot of people would pick 3 and I’d like their choices on the record.
06.08.2025 02:53 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0When it comes to housing here are the choices:
1. Allow a lot more housing to be built by the market
2. Subsidize all the affordability (roughly 675 billion dollar price tag)
3. Accept a much higher rate of homelessness and the associated costs
4. Crash the economy (a la Trump)
I think about AI too much. I don’t think text based LLMs are revolutionary. But they are pretty much what search could have/should have been before it was gobbled up by ads. Which, I presume AI will be in the next 3-5 years, making it similarly unvaluable.
