I don't intend to take down the posts and I intend to continue to speak up about the proposed incinerator. I look forward to working with residents in the greater Sunbury area, to ensure that it doesn’t become Melbourne’s default waste site.

To be clear, we are not encouraging people to break the law, to enter the site unlawfully or to create a risk to workers on the site. That said, it’s worth noting that there was not a lot of signage that indicated to myself and my staff that safety was potentially at risk.

Sadly, HiQ have requested that our video talking about the Sunbury incinerator be taken down after they alleged that our ‘unauthorised entry to the site posed a significant health and safety breach’. 🧵

It was wonderful to catch some of Melbourne Telangana Forum's Bathukamma 2025 festivities at Parliament today — a wonderful celebration of flowers and community. 🌸

But let’s be clear: it is a statement of fact that Lily D'Ambrosio MP, Bronwyn Halfpenny MP, and Ella George MP have all voiced strong opposition to proposed waste incinerators in their electorates.

So nevertheless, the question remains: how will other MPs respond to their communities' concerns?

Unfortunately, the question was ruled out of order under standing orders that prohibit 'accusations' against other members. Of course, I respect the President's ruling.
