No. I agree Ed Miliband is nothing like Reform, and he doesn't have the backing on his Prime Minister. Clearly, Labour are infinitely preferable. My point is that the party, compared its manifesto, and certainly compared to Starmer's leadership promises, is heading in the wrong direction.

But every day, Labour creep closer and closer.

I'm saying that they've not done what they promised. That at every turn they scale back and cut while leaving billionaires to run rampant. And that by welcoming the EHRC guidance they're bringing in the new section 28. H
You seem like a decent man. How can you support them after this week?

Everything they've done has been compromised and reduced to avoid meaningful change. On green issues, the economy and certainly social issues they're desperate to appease Reform voters and the rightwing press.

Jesus you're a nasty piece of work. Governments make the law. Judges interpret it. These judges interpreted law in a way that harms vulnerable people. This government could correct that and instead they've embraced the cruelty and run with it.

We don't, but the decisions they're making are making things worse. I voted Labour at the last election despite significant misgivings about a party that would put Wes Streeting in charge of anything, let alone human life, and now bitterly regret it.

It’s full of holes & has clearly been written without input from trans people. I will push for this to be withdrawn until thought-out guidance can be produced.

As many of us have pointed out, the judgement gave no kind of clarity. This new EHRC guidance is horrible to read, with numerous practical inconsistencies and injustices for all our daily lives not just trans people. It’s the rights equivalent of an Escher drawing that should be immediately removed.
