31.07.2025 21:33 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Finally saw Sister Midnight and it is incredible. Really impressed with how well the marketing and reviews have managed to sell it without spoiling the fun.
31.07.2025 20:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How do you balance that conclusion with Dr Stephenson's history of activism against trans people?
31.07.2025 19:18 β π 61 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0π¨ Last night JK Rowling attacked The National as an "anti-woman newspaper". I think that is absolutely ridiculous chat.
Here's my open letter setting out why this kind of attack does not work on our team.

Her husband is the main reason Labour has abandoned trans people. If she married him, I doubt she cares.
04.05.2025 07:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@imogenwalker.bsky.social Hi Imogen! Please could you pass a message to your husband? He is welcome to his 'socially conservative' world view, but by puppeting the PM to think the same he is ruining lives and destroying the Labour Party. Thanks!
04.05.2025 07:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For people wondering why the UK's Equality And Human Rights Commission is acting counter to human rights, I'll c+p a combination of threads from a couple of years ago.
They cover the systemic attack on many marginalised communities by idealogues trying to dismantle human rights law.

Just had my first ever political argument on social media. Hated every second. Not doing that again.
28.04.2025 20:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Night night. Enjoy your party.

I'll assume you're fine with what Labour are doing to Trans people.
What? You're the one who piled in to help your mate when he ran off because his party is doing something utterly indefensible.
28.04.2025 19:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So you're happy with the EHRC Stephen?
28.04.2025 19:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I didn't say they were close, just that the gap isn't as wide as it was. Now what did you want to say about the EHRC?
28.04.2025 19:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No. I agree Ed Miliband is nothing like Reform, and he doesn't have the backing on his Prime Minister. Clearly, Labour are infinitely preferable. My point is that the party, compared its manifesto, and certainly compared to Starmer's leadership promises, is heading in the wrong direction.
28.04.2025 19:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But every day, Labour creep closer and closer.
28.04.2025 19:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I'm saying that they've not done what they promised. That at every turn they scale back and cut while leaving billionaires to run rampant. And that by welcoming the EHRC guidance they're bringing in the new section 28. H
You seem like a decent man. How can you support them after this week?
Everything they've done has been compromised and reduced to avoid meaningful change. On green issues, the economy and certainly social issues they're desperate to appease Reform voters and the rightwing press.
28.04.2025 18:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Jesus you're a nasty piece of work. Governments make the law. Judges interpret it. These judges interpreted law in a way that harms vulnerable people. This government could correct that and instead they've embraced the cruelty and run with it.
28.04.2025 18:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We don't, but the decisions they're making are making things worse. I voted Labour at the last election despite significant misgivings about a party that would put Wes Streeting in charge of anything, let alone human life, and now bitterly regret it.
28.04.2025 18:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is a great point. All Labour MPs should be challenged to prove their 'biological sex' every time they need a wee.
27.04.2025 21:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Solidarity with all trans, non-binary & intersex people facing the harsh and ill-considered guidance issued by the EHRC.
Itβs full of holes & has clearly been written without input from trans people. I will push for this to be withdrawn until thought-out guidance can be produced.
For all its obvious influences, the most impressive thing about Sinners is that it still feels original, with its own rhythms and agenda. Need to see it again to really appreciate it on its own terms.
27.04.2025 12:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@patmcfaddenmp.bsky.social Hi Pat! Welcome to Bluesky! You were a disgrace on TV today. History will judge you harshly for advocating discrimination and the segregation of trans people.
27.04.2025 11:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow, this is offensive, ignorant nonsense. This is exactly the same language and attitude that framed gay people as a threat in the past. A willful refusal to engage with the real issues or people involved. Please shut up. Repeating and sharing this garbage is doing real harm.
26.04.2025 19:28 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As many of us have pointed out, the judgement gave no kind of clarity. This new EHRC guidance is horrible to read, with numerous practical inconsistencies and injustices for all our daily lives not just trans people. Itβs the rights equivalent of an Escher drawing that should be immediately removed.
25.04.2025 22:18 β π 237 π 68 π¬ 6 π 3I'm really sorry - please do block me. I don't know you, but Fuck Off with this. The EHRC 'interim guidance' is cruel bigotry pure and simple and Sodha is a ghoul.
25.04.2025 21:52 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How do you feel associating with newly declared transphobes Starmer and Phillipson? Are trans people welcome in London? In London schools?
22.04.2025 20:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Starmer. Streeting. Phillipson. Reeves. Not a moral compass between them and desperately searching opinion polls for a way to cling on to power. I hate to give Badenoch credit for anything, but she was right to call them shameless today.
22.04.2025 19:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The day after the general election I felt a strange emptiness. It was great the Tories were gone, but who had we voted in? It turns out they're a bunch of spineless, duplicitous, reactionary cowards.
22.04.2025 18:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Education Secretary who leapt at the chance to destroy the lives of trans kids. A truly horrible statement in parliament this evening. You should be ashamed.
