definitely I have used tools like that when I have a landmark. a lot of these just don't have enough context, you need to look at others in the series to narrow them down.

thanks for the kind words, everything you see on the web site is something I've scanned myself, the vast majority is from my own collection (via donations, flea markets, ebay, & sometimes found on the street - sfmemory.org/TiffanyCabin...) some items have been scanned & returned to the owners

I'll admit when riding my bike up from the Cliff House, I'm pretty gassed (it's the furthest point from my house) and I ride on this sidewalk every time.

I had this Cecil Hurd photo of an unknown event in the Fillmore, police arresting a man with a crowd on the street. Amazingly I was able to find KPIX coverage of this police action against the Black Panthers at the Bay Area Television Archive at SF State. #sfhistory
