Went to Party with Pride at the Roger Williams Zoo last night. It was an absolute blast. Nothing but smiling faces, tasty beverages, fantastic pretzels, and animals who were happy it wasn’t stupid hot! I took one pic, of this cute elephant. The zoo is a true gem.

Weren’t we the 13th colony to ratify the constitution because we demanded more rights or something like that? Assuming I’m remembering correctly (on my way to the beach, not gonna google it right now), I think that’s a pretty badass reason to include the stars.

RFKJr doesn’t know what he’s saying or doing. He doesn’t know shit about AI and probably barely knows how to turn on a computer. He’s probably the guy who searches “hot pregnent lady” by typing it into Twitter.

I’m very disappointed in my senator, Melissa Murray, for voting against this.

Yes! This is a start… but they should cover the full cost for students! As a RI taxpayer, I’d totally support it… increased ridership, more funding for transit, and all that good stuff!

I don’t find the action unprecedented. Simple as that. We run to the cries from Israel no matter the costs. Always have regardless of who is in power, and we get crickets from most of our congressional delegation.

Have you locked down control of it to one individual? If not, retaliation could be painful.

While I understand your point, almost every action of this administration lacks said fig leaves. Why would I expect this to be any different?

I take issue with all of the unprovoked bombings equally. Acts of war are equally evil, particularly those that are unprovoked. We’ve never had business assisting Israel in their quest to destabilize and wipe out the rest of the Mideast.

Note: either woman would still have done something similar. Maybe not Iran, but definitely bombing other nations. They just wouldn’t have gutted every bit the federal government beforehand.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

Is it truly unprecedented? Haven’t previous presidents bombed other nations without congressional approval? I’m thinking Obama and his drone strikes here. I’m no fan of Trump’s, but presidents have taken the stance that bombing doesn’t require an official declaration of war or Congress’s blessing.

Really feel like the NYC mayor’s race shows that there is no such thing as a progressive establishment, and there is, in fact, an anti-progressive establishment that runs all the way from Murdoch to Clinton

The Pride parade is one of the most feel good events. It was nice to see fewer corporate groups marching, fewer politicians (it’s not an election year, they’ll be back next year), and more unions and political action groups. It’d be nice if they could have a small police presence.

And in typical cop fashion, a bunch of overly aggressive cops shoved us to get by. One of them seemed upset when I yelled “ASSHOLE!” Just proving that cops are garbage.

Unsurprisingly, the Providence Police are being royal dicks an hour before the Pride parade, not letting people to cross the street and have to walk several blocks. I can understand when there’s a lot of spectators, but there were fewer than 20. Guess you gotta be a royal POS to become a cop.

This is exactly why @davidmoralesri.bsky.social is pushing to ban unmarked cars. I’m so fucking sick of hearing POSes (republicans) say that ICE is only going after “illegals.” They’ve tackled, arrested, deported, locked up, etc plenty of citizen and “legals.”

McKee doesn’t care about transit. He cares about cars. RIDOT has always traditionally only cared about automobile traffic. It’s absolutely disgusting that Alviti chairs the board. He’s proven to be absolutely incompetent and undeserving of his job at RIDOT, never mind leading our transit agency.

For years, we’ve raised the alarm about the devastating impact of underfunding transit. But RIPTA is still about $17M short of closing their budget deficit. Service cuts and job losses will affect countless people who depend on RIPTA to get around. TRANSIT IS ESSENTIAL.

I’m quite upset with my senator, Melissa Murray. She’s usually on point with issues like this. There’s too much politicking and not enough helping the people who need it the most.

The presence of unmarked vehicles and unidentified officers in our neighborhoods is sparking real fear, especially among our immigrant communities.

I am calling on Governor Dan McKee to direct State Law Enforcement to stop using unmarked vehicles in our communities.

My state rep has run unopposed for as long as he’s been my rep. He voted against it. He’s a Democrat. My senator is awesome though.
