EAF does only melt iron. It does not reduce iron ore.
My bet is that molten oxide electrolysis of iron ore (Boston Metals) will win over reduction with hydrogen.
And Dems want to know why they don't have the youth vote!?!

Along with the increased minimum percentage of renewables for distribution firms, this boosts demand just as new solar&wind projects have to secure contracts directly with buyers.

What I learned at school regarding bullies is that sometimes you need throw a well aimed left hook. In this case form a coalition of retaliation (EU, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, China, β¦) and reciprocate with passion. Game Set Match.

Hi @mliebreich.bsky.social , your #HydrogensoufflΓ© of the week.
Down here we say in Dutch: 'postponing leads to cancelling'
You don't like it? Go somewhere else! as said by Richard Feynman in one of his lectures at University of Auckland.

Here's an example from 1912 when smart and off peak charging was suggested as a solution to capacity constraints.

Proves again that the range of an hydrogen vehicle is limited by it's subsidies.

Way higher efficiency and the daily fluctuations are taken by batteries.
Dunkelflaute usually is usually longer than some days.
Eventually with the option to run it open or closed cycle.
Note the claims are quite opposite. Do we need inertia or don't we. Without physical inertia, digital control systems might have a hard time running stable.

17.05.2025 19:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Part of a diagram showing some data from the UK. This shows, for example, how when discussing non-car travel, 65% of people thought their own level of support was higher than the public's support, and only 6% thought their own level of support for non-car travel was lower than the general public's support
We also saw "pluralistic ignorance": MOST PEOPLE SUPPORTED NON-CAR TRAVEL, BUT THOUGHT THEY WERE THE MINORITY! 65-69% said they support non-car travel more than other people, which can't be true. Does the majority assume their own view is odd and so go quiet in debate, thus enabling loud minorities?
