One of the joys of illustration is that you’re just getting on with a project and seriously naming layers things like ‘Ear Flapper track’ or ‘furious poodle’ because that’s what it is.

A whale swimming in a beautiful blue ocean with shafts of light. The text says, This is one of the rarest whales in the world. It's American, but most Americans have never heard of it. A whale swimming to the surface. The text says, Rice's Whales live only in the Gulf of Mexico. They were identified as a species in 2021. Arrows point to the pointy fin, three ridges on the head, and a length that's a little longer than a school bus. A whale making calls that look like swirly lines and little frogs. The text says, They make unique sounds, including a frog-like grunt and a sweeping, descending moan. These calls have echoed through the gulf for millions of years. An image of 50 whale tails, and a whale resting at the surface. The text says: Today, there are fewer than 100 Rice's whales left - maybe only 50. Oil spills, noise from industry, and shipping traffic make things tough, especially since these whales sleep close to the surface at night. A whale swimming through a sunset-purple sea, with two other whales farther away. The text says: Rice's whales are a treasure. For those of us in Mexico and the USA, they're OUR treasure. A whale swimming up to the surface. The text says: They're ours to marvel at, to love and protect.

I made this comic a few months ago, in collaboration with an expert named Tommy Tucker. I can't believe that it's immediately out of date because it refers to the Gulf of Mexico.

Gromit’s garden through the eyes of Norbot - a green digital interface overlayed as he scans the environment

Here’s some of my contributions to Wallace & Gromit Vengeance Most Fowl! I was lucky enough to do some motion graphics design & animation for a few sequences, starting with ‘Norbot Vision’ - the graphical interface we see when we the camera is looking from Norbot’s POV! #animation #wallaceandgromit
