Good Saturday morning. Every morning when I go out to tend my flowers there are multiple bees asleep in the blossoms. This makes me ridiculously happy. Always find peace and joy in simple things. Have a good weekend.

One of my favorite summertime traditions is visiting my favorite family farm/market on the banks of the Tuckasegee River and with the Smoky Mountains as a a beautiful backdrop. Darnell Farms is pretty special!

My ipad says it is a pipevine swallowtail. I am in western NC and have been amazed at the variety of butterflies!

When you have to look at a big ugly old propane tank outside your window every day you have hubby build you a fence from scrap lumber, then use old bricks to make a flower bed. Beautiful now and cost next to nothing! Will change to fall decorations and mums in September.
