Dear network I am looking for patient advocacy or support groups for patients diagnosed with Kidney cancer [particularly clear cell Renal cell carcinoma]. or patients open to talk to me about life with metastatic cancer and disease monitoring.
(Ideally located in Switzerland)
Thank you πŸ™

B: integrate, then cluster and annotate and then do sample specific sub-clustering

would love to have your input or ideas

Question for Single-cell experts:
I have single nuclei data for different samples from different patients.
would you:
A: Cluster and annotate each sample separately then integrate all of them together (but would need to find the best resolution for all samples)

At the end it is reflecting what we value as a society which is the output regardless of understanding
with big data and rapidly evolving world we do need AI assistance but maybe redirected towards gaining skills and knowledge rather than accepted final output

Very interesting thread
From another side the brain is a muscle, are we really loosing intelligence or not training this muscle enough
Also new times, new skills needed, should we not have new metrics to measure performance other than the traditional ones?

Both papers in #NatureCom reveal therapeutic potential of CT-179 in Medulloblastoma recurrence by targeting OLIG-2. Blocking this protein reduced tumour formation and increased survival in mice by preventing dormant stem cells from being activated and proliferating. #MedSky #OncSky #Medulloblastoma

Influenza A virus rapidly adapts particle shape to environmental pressures - Nature Microbiology Quantitative flow virometry assay to measure the shape of viral particles under various conditions reveals that influenza virus infections dynamically tune shape distribution of progeny particles depending on viral efficiency.

A study in Nature Microbiology demonstrates that phenotypic flexibility allows influenza A virus to rapidly respond to environmental pressures in a way that provides dynamic adaptation potential in changing surroundings. πŸ§ͺ

Malicious Measles Myths: Memory-Holing a Monster Measles is already having a great 2024. We ought to put a stop to that.

Measles cases are rising in the US with infections across 5 states - now 48 cases and climbing in Texas alone. With antivax rhetoric from many in government, the world should remember why measles is a "monster"

While the Imaging mass spectrometry (IMS)-based is defined as Top-down proteomics analysing intact proteins, while bottom-up proteomics digests proteins into peptides before analysis.
But I do agree with you, also when we say pixel we all intuitively think imaging.

1️⃣ Resolution – How detailed do you need? Higher resolution = more precision, but can be complex.
2️⃣ Targeted proteins – Focused project or exploratory?
3️⃣ Resources – What tools/funding are available?

Your choices shape your research! πŸ” What other variables should we consider?
