In Argentinian Patagonia, rio de las vueltas carves its way through a deep canyon over which tower the magnificent, jagged peaks of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, as they glow red in the first light of day. ⁠

No churning clouds, no furious winds, no dramatic light breaking through, just the sun's first rays dancing across one of our planet's most spectacular and imposing massifs. Torres del Paine, Patagonia.

Today I'm leaving for wild, amazing Patagonia to run my annual photography tours, timed for the fall colors to be at their peak. I can't wait to see what this amazing wilderness has in store for us this time!

Next #DIY job done: Porsche's PADM transmission mounts tend to fail quite regularly on the 981 and 718 leaving you with a nice 1.600€ bill. Usually it's only the sensor that fails, not the mount itself. Luckily some Chinese dude came up with a 120€ fix. #porsche #padm

Yay! Retrofitted Android Auto and Apple Carplay to the PCM 3.1. And while at it put a bit ouf sound dampening into the doors and upgraded the speakers. Successful weekend project I'd say.

First part of my little weekend project: Replacing the HDD in the PCM 3.1 of my Cayman with an SSD to proactively address typical HDD failures, resulting in a costly 4k replacement of the whole unit.

Next step is to retrofit the PCM with Android Auto.

Certainly one of the most epic roads I've ever driven: Utah Scenic Byway 12 near Grand Staircase-Escalante. 120 miles of stunning views, impressive landscape and pure driving pleasure.

Last year I was nearby but hesitated to go bc of our tight schedule and heard a lot people saying that visitors would get "pushed" through the canyon by the guides, no time to take photos, not possible to take photos with crowds etc. How was your experience?

Other people are saying their guide let people pass one by one at some points in the canyon to make sure everybody gets an opportunity for an uncrowded photo. How's your experience been?

Beautiful photo! always wonder what it really is going to Antelope. So many people complaining how their group was "pushed" through the canyon, barely stopping for more than 1 second.

So in love with the Valley of Fire. Fantastic shot, you absolutely nailed this one. Took a photo myself in that direction but standing on the rock to the left, which doesn't provide this perfect tunnel view.
