Referendum might not be the right word. Constitutional convention?

Obviously, I'm not a political expert or anything, but don't you need a referendum to change the Constitution? The Supreme Court can't make that call, right?

Most of the attendees for his rallies were frequent fliers, and even those numbers were dropping at the end. I honestly believe his followers are fatigued. Only the most devout will attend his inauguration.

I wake up at or after 4am for work every day, but on that day, I woke up a few minutes before, very confused and unsettled. I've been waking up before my alarm clock every couple of days now, which is very unlike me.

I agree that general horribleness is preferable over targeted horribleness. As long as it makes you happy and harms no one, everyone else can suck lemons.

Personally, I'm cool with people who want to do that, but I don't care to do it for myself.

People perceive/respond to you differently depending on what they believe your gender to be, and I'd like to be "a person on the internet" in most cases.

I never cared about acquiring a following, but I enjoyed the engagement aspect. Going by those stats over on Twitter, the number of people seeing my comments stay in the single digits.

A very bizarre conversation I had with someone involved her telling me that Jews are Christians, too.

"Uh, no. No, they aren't."

"They're God's chosen people."

"For sure. But to be Christians, they'd have to accept Jesus as Messiah, and they, uh... don't."

I'm an atheist. That hurt my brain.

Jews are God's chosen people-- the Bible says so. There's a disconnect in acknowledging that. "But, wait. How can God love me most if I'm not one of his chosen people? They killed Jesus!"

I didn't even read that as a put-down, considering I enjoyed most of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series.

I love Good Omens enough to have bought it a second time when I misplaced, like, 30% of my books during a move.
