An email from the Hemophilia Federation of America that says On Tuesday, April 15th, a major blow was dealt to our community. As part of the Health and Human Services (HHS) Reduction in Force directive, there was a major workforce reduction. Division of Blood Disorders and Public Health Genomics, and the Blood Disorders Surveillance and Epidemiology Branch of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) were essentially eliminated leaving only two remaining staff, rendering the functionality of these offices inoperable. All staff have been placed on administrative leave effective immediately and all positions will be eliminated within 60 days, leaving the future of these offices uncertain.
