So that was fun, and I can do the LEGO or coffee/chocolate festival tomorrow if I can drag myself away from Hades II

Another weekend, another layered fit over workout kit.

This weekend started with bouldering, and now I’m heading either to a poetry reading, a coffee/chocolate festival or a LEGO show. Haven’t quite decided yet.

And of course the real shout out needs to go to the law commission for the absolute banger of, yes, trans, nonbinary & intersex folk should be explicitly covered in the humans right act.

Shout out to the humans rights commission and ombudsman for *checks notes* refusing to delete a statement that trans folks have protected rights in the face of a government order that straight up did delete words about us.

It’s a low bar out there right now and you know what I’ll take it.

This reminds me that I throughly forgot to thank / come out 🏳️‍⚧️ to the friends who took me to Carly Rae when she was touring Emotion and joked about how nice it was that all the girls and closeted girls were there, and past me was like “hey some of us are here because we are boy problems”

My wardrobe has just honed in on “tank top and yoga / bike shorts” with skirts, dresses, shirts and everything then layered over.

My personal trainer keeps joking (complementary) about my “workout transitions” and yeah, this is me, this is my style and I’m a trans butch gal. 🏳️‍⚧️

I legitimately negotiated a variation to my employment contract on the typical "travel may be required" clause such that international travel is not required and only domestic.

Work was more than happy to grant me that variation.
I know a handful of my friends have requested the same.

I didn’t, mostly because this weekend was Wellington windy in Auckland, so instead my fit was a lilac short sleeve shirt with a floral design, a tank top repping a local rainbow org, and pink yoga shorts.

I went to a queer watch party for the Black Ferns semi-final and _damn_ was that an amazing game for a 🏳️‍⚧️ trans gal to reclaim her love of the game 🏉 with.

The Springbok Women had some amazing line outs, and I’m still mentally replaying the top down shot of one of the Black Ferns running tries.

My phone wants to autocorrect transness into “trans mess” and I feel like this nonhuman dictionary has read me for filth.

Definitely changes the meaning of the sentence “I’m embodying my transness more and more these days”

Ah, apologies I’m not sure on their gender. The book was definitely the first local link I’d ever read on my own transfem journey.

This weekends great discovery is that roast broccoli 🥦 and frozen chips 🥔 both want around the same timing (half an hour) and temp (220°c) in the oven.

They basically do one weekend a year from Christchurch to Dunedin and advertise the stuffing out of it to anyone who's ever paid for a scenic rail package.

This year it's the last weekend of October, and the minimum one way ticket is like $250

A while back a therapist challenged me to find a small purpose, and to bend towards that small purpose, through anxieties

I figured out, my happy place of safety in life is to have a comfortable chair, a good book and a nice drink.

And so my small purpose is to have the resources to do that well.

Tonight was a great night, I read a good book on AI, Cybernetics and Corporate Accountability by @dsquareddigest.bsky.social cover to cover, highlighting _way_ too many passages, while at a music festival listening to the Auckland Philharmonic perform dance music
