There is a trap built into the floorboards of being trans: they grind you down until you snap - then point at your anger and say, "See? We were right all along."

We refuse to be "reasonable" in the face of the unreasonable any longer.

Hey. Hey you! You’re lovely, congrats on being you. It took a lot, I know, but you made it. And every day you’re you, you are living in opposition to so much. That takes a fucking lot. So it’s okay to be tired or sad. I am too.

But we’re both alive. And that is beautiful.

I know cis people don't realize the cruelty, so with gentleness and empathy for them, let me try to explain.

Being trans is difficult. Instinctively, you already know this because you think it would be better not to be trans.

It wasn't awesome.

Sadly, I have worked with kids and while some parents were wonderful, there were a lot who were even worse.

My mom told me several times in heated moments that she never wanted kids in the first place and holy shit was that ever apparent in both her and my dad.

Finally got all my documents filled out and uploaded for bottom surgery, now just waiting for the first consult.

Switching to purge mode to clear space in my home to allow for having folks over and for delightful mischief.

Thoughts after being stuck at home with a cold:

On the one hand, I want to clear space by getting rid of books. on the other, i've read enough dystopian fiction to know how valuable unpowered access to information can be if we are truly facing a fall of civilization.

From what I have seen, it's about connecting with the listeners and using that for real-time curation to create a narrative that delivers an experience.

One question I get a lot is why progressives and leftists should go to law school or become lawyers if we're abolitionists. Isn't that contradictory?

No, actually. And here's why.

I was a kid who was "good at math" for a while until lack of support and what I realize was shitty teaching changed that.

There was definitely an attitude towards kids who didn't "get" it.

How something is taught is really important and shitty teachers don't want to admit that they're shitty.
