anyways if silksong does a godhome equivalent (using the elegy to relive hornets memories of every fight maybe?) the game should track which crests youve won with. which would be superior to bindings in every single way

the other 3 bindings force you to adapt your playstyle but charms gives you nothing to adapt with. like oh my nail arts suck now and my healings slow and without strength i basically also have nail binding on. theres nothing to do differently the game just feels worse now

shell doesnt put you at 1 mask and nail doesnt give you the base nail so why should soul give you 1 heal and charms remove ALL charm notches???

If charms gave you 5 notches to play with it wouldve been a perfect challenge to figure out but having nothing at all sucks the fun out

I dont hate the binding system as much as I thought I would

shell is a perfect challenge
soul should given you 2 heals/spells
nail is fine and can sometimes be a boon for getting more soul out of bosses that otherwise go down quick
but charms is just ugh

doing some lategame hollow knight stuff and its cool how the bindings prepare you for even harder challenges

nail binding gets you to use more spells
shell binding gets you to learn to heal safely and often
soul binding gets you to use soul when you have it
charms binding um uhh um

its been exactly a year since nintendo music randomly appeared and I have a few stats

there are currently 175h 58m of music on the app across 5942 tracks. and not counting the OSTs available at launch, thats on average 1h 56m across 71.7 tracks weekly. which isnt that bad for such a small team tbh

here's a cool tip: try playing the game you seem to care so much about instead of running in circles picking fights

if you showed me a character from digimon, yokai watch, temtem, cassette beasts, dragon quest that I had never seen before, I would still be able to distinguish the franchise theyre from in seconds because they are all visually distinct. the same cannot be said for palworld, whos identity IS pokemon

people arent even saying that you shouldnt play or enjoy palworld or it deserves to be sued. the argument is literally just "please admit that palworld doesnt have a unique artstyle and they traced pokemon" and losers are pretending they dont have eyeballs

and what makes it funnier is when the dm tries again in another campaign and goes "hmm this time this fight is extra extra stacked against them, theyll lose for sure!!" and then they win.

this is kinda about brennan lee mulligan its not really a critique just funny to me

writing a scripted loss into a dnd campaign is always so funny bc the players only know "kill or be killed" and never retreat or surrender. so the dm unconsciously starts pulling punches and all of a sudden one of the big bads is dead and you gotta rewrite half the campaign

dunno why im doing this but i am

trying to teambuild around meganium in hgss is so funny because. if i try to pick any ok pokemon for my team like zubat or geodude they would be enough to outclass chikorita in every fight. so i end up picking 5 shitmons and now i have a team that cant even get past gym 1

tbh if I were gamefreak i wouldve used the legends series as a way to soft reboot the franchise instead of just being a supplement for the mainline games.

like start with a reimagining of kanto and redesign all the outdated pokemon and go from there

right now im just a pokemon fan just for the cute character designs like how people are with hello kitty and sanrio. Im not calling the new games trash or anything (ive mostly heard good things about LZA) but I dunno all their recent choices are just baffling

at that point why not just make it the whole gen 2 trio and give cyndaquil a mega too. favouritism cant be a new issue here (looking at you; charizard, blaziken and greninja)

or just reuse the gen 6 starters??? XY were a decade ago and XY remakes will be a decade from now. they got megas anyways...

there wasnt a real option for assorted starters in LZA. 1 and 3 had megas, 4, 8 and 9 were too recent and 6 were already used in kalos

you cant give incineroar a mega and using popplio would force them to use chikorita (2 fairies) so the only other (bad) option is to double up on gen 2

tbh I think both legends games misstepped the starters, especially LZA

with PLA i get it bc it released too close to BDSP to repeat the same trio. But they didnt think about how their starter choices for PLA would severely limit their choices for any future legends games
