Or schools need the highly scripted plans for TAs, HLTAs and cover supervisors to teach classes, which is what I saw. Saves money when budgets are so tight.

Agreed. I am one of those who walked away because I don't agree with this type of teaching and the cost of continuing was impacting my mental health.

Alpha Global Partners with LIO to Transform Mental Health Care in Aust Alpha Global teams up with LIO to bring advanced mental health technology to Australia, improving patient safety and clinician support.

Oxehealth is launching in Australia this month under the new name, LIO. From the marketing material it seems they are doing what they initially did in the UK, before our campaign, and not mentioning the word camera.

@samcoatessky.bsky.social hi Sam, this morning you stated β€œβ€¦the main opposition parties, the Cons and Reform UK…”

Unless I missed 67 Parliamentary by-elections since July, the Lib Dems are very much the main opposition party with the Cons, not Reform.

Do we have to keep doing this?

I am angry @NHSE_WTE have always been clear: people with a learning disability & autistic individuals delivering Oliver’s Training should be paid Band 5 rates
Yet many charities with contracts to deliver it are paying minimum wage

Basic, unsexy sh*t that’s been lost but would make a massive difference for us as patients:

- Day centres
- Volunteer work without DWP pressure
- Community rehabilitation teams
- Having the same careco for more than a year
- good supported accommodation

Teenagers mocked by nurses at Skye House children's psychiatric unit A BBC investigation finds some nurses were verbally abusive and cruel towards unwell teenagers.

These stories are hugely distressing, and paint a picture of how woefully inadequate eating disorder care is.

The last thing children should feel is neglected by those meant to support them.

It's beyond clear - we need mandatory training for front-line workers and better accountability mechanisms.

Teenage psychiatric patients told they are 'pathetic and disgusting' A BBC investigation finds some nurses were verbally abusive and cruel towards unwell teenagers.

To those of us who have lived experience of MH units, either personal or loved ones incarcerated, this comes as no surprise at all. MH in-patient units are cruel places and the cruelest people seem to be many of the staff. It’s an ingrained toxic culture.

Children still being sent far from home for mental health care in England Figures show practice continues eight years after pledge to end it, potentially impeding young people’s recovery

Children and young people in England with serious mental health problems are still being sent for treatment many miles away from their homes because bed shortages in some areas remain so severe, despite a pledge to end such practices eight years ago.
