I do not have a strong opinion but applaud your values.

Rug pulls are mostly from things like DeFi, bridges and the like. General transacting is pretty safe. But it does not matter, people in Turkey, Argentina, Nigeria, etc. are heavy users of Bitcoin and stablecoins and it's clearly working for them. You can think of it whatever you want.

I'm pretty regular and me and friends send money to each other via crypto. Most of the rest of the world uses crypto for sending money. Why does it matter what "regular American" does? Crypto is useful, practical and is here to stay and that's the end of the story.

Crypto bashing is tired and silly, give it up and find better things to vilify. It's a cheap and easy way to send money across borders at the least and one of the few things people in unstable political situations can rely on.
