We gave the TNDP and DNC a real opportunity to see the power of the working class and understand that the future is to be dictated by their needs.

Our seat will hopefully be secured and we will continue to do the work necessary to deliver the results so desperately needed.

It was my absolute pleasure and honor to be considered for Chair of the Tennessee Democratic Party; unfortunately it wasn’t the outcome we hoped for but we elevated the voice of the working class folks all across this state.

They’ll chase 100x gains forever, never learning what blockchains are all about. Others? They’ll buy the top with their hard-earned savings. Exit in disgust, never looking at crypto ever again. Hello Kathy, definitely understand why it may seem strange. Before I moved to Illinois and began working on State House races there; I was working on the Democratic gubernatorial primary in TN in 2020.

During my time in Tennessee I also served as a stakeholder w/ the TNDP during planning calls (c)

Imagine gutting education, gutting affordable education, gutting childcare, gutting healthcare and then being pretending to be concerned about why Americans are struggling.

The blindness is absurd.

These are just the first steps in a long journey to rebuild our organization and restore faith in our mission. In a state with steep challenges, we must rise to the occasion with courage, vision, and an unrelenting focus on the working class.

Thoughtful Approaches: Recognize that Nashville cannot be our sole hub. Prioritize developing West Tennessee, especially Shelby County, into the political powerhouse it has the potential to be.

Happy Warriors: Empower volunteers, interns, and staff to engage with optimism and determination, even in adversity, fostering a positive political culture.

Get Trained: To reinvigorate our movement, we must address the brain drain by cultivating a robust talent pool of staff, future candidates, and community leaders. Host regular statewide programming that every county can access.

Investment in Rural Tennesseans: Collaborate with community leaders, activists, educators, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to develop localized programs that provide tangible support and relief.

That’s why I’m introducing my R.I.G.H.T. plan:

Rebuilding: Strengthen in-state and out-of-state donor networks to fund year-round organizing, training, and community-level outreach to support our county parties.

As the son of two teachers who worked tirelessly to provide for our family, I understand the challenges facing Tennesseans today. Although I didn’t grow up in Tennessee, being born in an old coal mining town in Pennsylvania, I was raised with a “fight for what you need” mentality.

This belief, among many others, has brought me to this decision, shaped by pivotal moments long before I arrived in Tennessee in 2015 and rooted in my unwavering commitment to the working class.

Every step of the way, I have carried with me the values instilled by my working-class upbringing.

Working families deserve more from our government, and their voices deserve to be heard. No movement can thrive without the oxygen of trust and faith from our neighbors, and it’s time to provide them with that breath of fresh air.
