(πŸ“’) What Trump did today was not a SHOULD impeach, it was a MUST impeach.

He said anyone who challenges his authorityβ€”an authority he doesn’t haveβ€”to give illegal orders to the military must be executed.

That is a prima facie case for impeachment.

Articles should be drawn up.

We are headed toward martial law and the end of our democracy and I will never forgive the people in power who every step of the way told us it was all just fine and everything would work out swell as long as we kept pretending that nothing we have actually seen with our own two eyes was happening

Man alive. The contrast between the courage of voters and the absolute cowardice of Democratic leadership is just undeniable and the story of the moment.

The question is which will win out in the end and that question just got a whole lot louder.

If anyone needed another reminder of how deeply unpopular the Trump-MAGA Republican agenda is, tonight was the night.

But we cannot relent and we cannot become complacent.

The midterms are right around the corner.

The GOP is using the shutdown to literally make people choose between starving and losing their healthcare. That’s how sadistic this is and what the age of fascism is going to look like unless we defeat it.

SNAP exists because politicians take campaign contributions from large corporations in exchange for letting those corporations pay a poverty wage so low that it must be subsidized with taxpayer money, paid by middle class workers barely getting byβ€”all so 700 billionaires can have a few extra billion

Anytime you ask β€œwhy did the Times cover it this way?” or whatever corporate media it is, remember that influential moderates are the tool of the wealth class and are there to normalize whatever the wealthy want and create doubt regarding reform and change.

It seems clearβ€”I think to everyone, nowβ€”that a false and illegal invocation of the Insurrection Act is coming before the end of the year. Media outlets should be telling us how they will prepare for this potential Treason. State governments should be telling us. Activists should be developing plans.

06.10.2025 23:17 β€” πŸ‘ 15073    πŸ” 5674    πŸ’¬ 520    πŸ“Œ 313

It’s probably a good time for people to wrap their heads around a near total monopoly of news and media by either overt fascists or fascist-friendly accomplices.

This isn’t doomerism, it’s preparing for how reality will be warped and weaponized and understanding the fight we have in front of us.

02.10.2025 23:42 β€” πŸ‘ 460    πŸ” 151    πŸ’¬ 14    πŸ“Œ 6

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are β€œused to it” but it is absolutely insane

Not only should the Dems refuse to cave on the shutdown; they should announce they won’t vote for a budget until: (a) the military is withdrawn from every American city where it’s been deployed; (b) the budget forbids the use of any funds for that purpose; AND (c) the healthcare demand already made.

Semi-regular reminder that a sane country would have already impeached and removed. But then again a sane country wouldn’t have elected a maniac criminal twice in the first place.

Whatever else you think of him, I don't think he is insincere about this stuff, and it should be recognized as extraordinary that he, Pritzker, and other governors are talking about the federal government in these terms. It's not normal political rhetoric, it's the language of existential emergency.

24.09.2025 05:35 β€” πŸ‘ 5449    πŸ” 1244    πŸ’¬ 94    πŸ“Œ 39

It's 20 Fucking 25, we're staring down the barrel of full-blown fascism, and centrist Democrats are STILL talking about Bill Clinton, Sister Souljah, and the need to "moderate" the party and make nice with the fascists.

I can't do this. I literally can't. I'm going to scream.

22.09.2025 14:50 β€” πŸ‘ 447    πŸ” 71    πŸ’¬ 31    πŸ“Œ 11

Standing against fascism is now domestic terrorismβ€”by presidential decree.

Anyone committed to fighting fascism can now be deemed an enemy of the state, arrested, and heldβ€”possibly without full due processβ€”on the claim that they're a "terrorist."

Just like that, we lost America.

I'm telling you as a Trump biographer that the man has no intention of there being a free and fair election in 14 months.

Things are acceleratingβ€”and accelerating for a reason.

By the time Fall 2026 begins, Trump needs America to have no expectation whatsoever of a meaningful midterm election.

It's easy to scoff at Trump designating as a "terrorist organization" something that's not an *organization* at all.

I have different view.

When you declare an idea rather than an organization to be terrorism, you can declare *anyone* a terrorist.

And that is what he will do.

This is horrifying.

What I've gradually learned over the last decade is that at any given moment you can count on American businesses and institutions to do whatever the most cowardly fucking thing is

When America collapses, as it now seems it will, I hope to God historians recall and write about this cowardice first

I know I’m naive but it is pretty wild that the president of the United States just publicly declares he and the military killed some guys on a boat, multiple times, and the entirety of Congress doesn’t immediately hit a giant red IMPEACH button

Trump and Miller have figured out that if they can move fast enough, in enough locations, in ways the courts have never seen before, they can quickly overwhelm the ability of our underfunded, under-resourced justice system to respond to obviously illegal government actions.

That's the simple truth.

15.09.2025 19:12 β€” πŸ‘ 376    πŸ” 113    πŸ’¬ 8    πŸ“Œ 7

MAGA is not a homogenized group. There are many different elements, and one is a group of radicalized young men who want to burn society down. They see people like Charlie Kirk as weak and complicit and they want to capitalized on the antidemocratic energy Trump and others have normalized.
