I think they're just deathly afraid of a shutdown and getting blamed for it. Doing much of anything runs counter to their midterms strategy, which is to stand perfectly still and win by default

It doesn’t really need to be said but they are doing this because they support ice and want nothing to change. Insane that people still support them

Dems support rewarding their donors with all those hefty, profitable ICE contracts. Adding body cams and “training” just tacks on MORE profitable contracts while they allow detainees to be incarcerated in filthy, abusive concentration camps and civilians to be brutalized on the streets.

The sad part is they're less popular than Trump at this point. Nobody likes or supports them, except the people trapped in the room with them... and those are unfortunately the only people who seem to matter.

Like the old saying goes, when you have your opponent on the ropes you make a deal to give him 1-2 weeks to recover

We did not properly punish the confederates. We did not properly punish the insurrectionists on January 6th. We have to punish ICE.
