WHAT IS "NO KINGS"? NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration. We've watched as they've cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political positions, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They've done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies. They think they rule-but we are bigger than even their worst aspirations. * Donald Trump is planning a military parade in Washington, D.C. on June 14. This display of might is intended to intimidate opponents and solidify his image as a strongman on our dime-we won't stand by while that happens. * Instead of allowing this military parade to be the center of gravity, we will make action everywhere else the story of America that day: people coming together in communities across the country to reject strongman politics and corruption. * Alongside local organizers, partners, and leaders from across the pro-democracy & pro-worker movement, we will demonstrate organized people power that outpaces any authoritarian aspirations.

Last Friday, the NC Court of Appeals sided with Judge Jefferson Griffin in challenging 65,000+ voters. The court’s panel of judges ruled in favor of Griffin. The NC Supreme Court has temporarily halted this decision until they can formally review the Court of Appeals’ disastrous verdict.

Several landlords accused of using AI to swindle millions out of renters in NC On Tuesday, the Attorney General’s Office announced it will be suing six landlords for illegally working together and with the software company RealPage to raise North Carolinians’ rents.

With the rising cost of living, housing is a big concern for many educators in North Carolina because pay isn't keeping up with inflation. It’s good to see our new Attorney General Jeff Jackson quickly getting to work to address these issues.

Jefferson Griffin is still trying to throw out your ballot and now we'll see if all 5 Republicans on the state Supreme Court will go along with his last ditch effort to name him the winner even though he lost 2 recounts that showed Justice Riggs beat him by 734 votes.
